1. The agreement

By creating an account or using Clinkit in any way, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the platform. "Clinkit", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Clinkit Technologies Ltd., a company registered in Lagos, Nigeria.

2. Who can use Clinkit

You must be at least 18 years old to use Clinkit. By signing up, you're confirming you're an adult. You also need to be legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction. If you're using Clinkit on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. That means choosing a strong password, not sharing your login, and notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You're responsible for all activity on your account.

You can only have one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, manipulate reviews, or abuse our systems is prohibited and will result in termination of all your accounts.

4. Selling on Clinkit

When you list an item for sale, you're confirming:

• You own the item or have the right to sell it
• Photos and descriptions accurately represent the item
• You'll ship within 48 hours of a confirmed order
• You'll only use photos you took yourself or have rights to
• You'll communicate promptly with buyers
• You'll honor your listed price and any accepted offers

All sales are conducted through Clinkit's escrow system. Attempting to move transactions off-platform is a violation of these terms.

5. Buying on Clinkit

When you place an order:

• You're agreeing to pay the full amount shown at checkout
• You have 72 hours after delivery to confirm or open a dispute
• You're entitled to buyer protection as outlined in our protection policy
• You agree to provide accurate shipping information

6. Fees

Sellers pay zero fees. Buyers pay a small protection fee at checkout, clearly displayed before purchase. Fee structure is detailed on our buyer protection page. We reserve the right to change our fees with 30 days' notice.

7. Prohibited items

The following items cannot be listed on Clinkit:

• Counterfeit or replica items claimed as authentic
• Stolen goods
• Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
• Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping products
• Items that infringe intellectual property rights
• Live animals
• Food, medicine, or supplements
• Adult content or services
• Anything illegal under Nigerian law

8. Disputes

We provide a dispute resolution process through our trust & safety team. Both buyers and sellers can open disputes through the order page. Our team reviews within 24 hours and issues a binding decision. While we aim for fairness, we reserve final authority over all dispute outcomes.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time through Settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse our systems, or engage in prohibited behavior. If your account is terminated due to violations, any funds held in escrow may be held pending resolution.

10. Limitation of liability

Clinkit is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We don't own, inspect, or take possession of items being sold. We're not liable for issues between users beyond our dispute resolution and buyer protection systems. Our total liability to any user is limited to the fees paid to us in the preceding 12 months.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app and via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Clinkit after changes means you accept the updated terms.
