How protection works

When you pay for an item on Clinkit, your money doesn't go directly to the seller. It goes into escrow — a holding account managed by Clinkit. The seller only receives your money after you've confirmed the item arrived and matches the listing.

If the item never arrives, arrives damaged, or isn't as described, you open a dispute. Our trust & safety team reviews it within 24 hours. If we find in your favor (which happens 94% of the time), you get a full refund — including the protection fee.

What's covered

  • Item never arrived. Tracking shows no movement, or shows delivered but you never received it.
  • Item not as described. Wrong color, wrong size, different item, or the condition is significantly worse than the listing claimed.
  • Item damaged in transit. Arrived broken, torn, or otherwise unusable.
  • Counterfeit items. Listing claimed authentic but the item is fake.
  • Seller unresponsive. Seller disappears after you pay and won't ship.

What's not covered

  • Buyer's remorse — changed your mind after ordering.
  • Fit issues if the seller clearly listed size and measurements.
  • Minor cosmetic differences within normal condition tolerances.
  • Items you damaged yourself after receiving them.
  • Purchases made outside the Clinkit platform.

The fee

Buyer protection isn't free — we charge a small fee at checkout that covers escrow, dispute resolution, refund processing, and fraud prevention.

From your order page, tap "Open dispute". Pick a reason (not as described, never arrived, damaged, etc.) and attach photos or evidence. Takes 2 minutes.

within 24h

Our trust & safety team reviews your case. We contact the seller for their side. We check tracking, messages, photos — everything.

Decision
issued

If we find in your favor (94% of cases), you get a full refund within 48 hours. If we need more info, we'll reach out. If we find in the seller's favor, funds release to them.
